Hasdrubal Thalassa & Spa
Opinion
A well established spa orientated establishment with flat grounds and an emphasis on quality orientated dining and attention to detail that attracts many middle aged and mature couples. There is very little available that will interest families with young children.
Exterior
A low rise staggered irregular white coloured building with elegant arched balconies a wide welcoming entrance and a series of marble paths connecting the various areas.
Property type: Hotel
Storeys: 3
Built Year: 1990
Interior
Palatial and charming with elegant decor and stylish furnishings that would befit a country house. The royal blue coloured fittings in the restaurant are particularly pleasing especially as they look over a summer terrace to the gardens. The bar, lounge and a la carte restaurant are equally charming and create a distinct upmarket atmosphere.
Rooms: 210
Grounds
The well established grounds are flat and colourful with swaying palms, neat shrubs and flower beds. The pool surround is rather narrow but addition sunbathing is possible on the manicured lawns that stretch down to the edge of the beach where there is an additional snack bar and a further supply of sun loungers.
Location
Area Type: In the heart of the main tourist area, on the edge of the beach, on the end of a row of ten other slightly less luxurious properties. There are a few shops and a restaurant in a small complex 200 yds along the road and buses stop 50 yds further along. Taxis wait outside the gate.
Nearest beach: immediate (Sidi Mahares)
