A friendly, easy to find establishment that focuses on attention to detail and a homely intimate environment with tastefully restored features and communal areas. The overall layout is somewhat disjointed and those with walking difficulties may not be able to make use of all the facilities on offer as the staircases are narrow and sometimes quite steep. A limited pa facility is a welcome amenity and the formal dining areas are particularly inviting.

Exterior

A flat sided, typical riad style building with a narrow entrance off a narrow passage-like street. The courtyards, with their cascading shrubs are colourful and inviting and are enhanced by tall pillars and attractive plants. The accommodation areas and more communal sections are linked by narrow and sometimes steep staircases which have no handrails.

Interior

A series of rather compact but light and airy lounges are reached via the tiny reception area. An intimate, peaceful ambience prevails on the different levels with a small, congenial bar located on the top floor. A narrow side room with sturdy furnishings provides a pleasant setting for breakfasts and evening dining.

A terrace is located on the roof and has an area of seating with views out over the medina. Small courtyards offer a peaceful setting for relaxation amongst the many attractive flowering plants and shrubs.

Area Type: Located just inside the main gate to the town’s ancient medina, along a narrow walkway with the sturdy old town walls to one side. There are a few chic boutiques and snack outlets within 50m of the entrance with a wider variety of shops and restaurants starting 100m away, going towards the central area. Taxis wait outside the main gate.
