A simple, self-catering option with limited facilities, but an ideal base for those who wish to escape the tourist tack and explore the town of Limassol as all the cultural attractions are in the vicinity. If you have an interest in all things nautical, this property is perfect with stunning views out to sea, along the coast and towards the port with the ever-present queue of ships waiting to dock. If you have a fear of heights request a low floor as the views are still uninterrupted. The dual carriageway separating the property from the beach is constantly busy so there may be some traffic noise and there is a trendy beach bar directly opposite that is popular with the locals.

Exterior

A smart singular block, cream in colour and well-maintained, eight storeys high. All rooms have a compact balcony that offer scenic views along the coast of Limassol, apart from seven that face the rear with a view of rundown residential accommodation. As of day of the visit (October 09), the property next door was undergoing major reconstruction with the noise associated with such work. Adjacent to the presentable entrance at street level is the property's bar and restaurant, with a wooden terrace and street bar.

Interior

The narrow reception and lobby is well-presented and constructed entirely of light wood apart from the ceiling, which is freshly painted. A small seating area occupies the rear with a black leather sofa and a piano. A lift leaves from here to all floors and there is direct access to the dark wooden English-type pub that doubles as the hotel's restaurant and bar and leads out to the street terrace.

Grounds

There are no grounds in this property, the pool and bar that were previously situated on the roof have been removed.

Location

Area Type: Situated in Limassol town centre directly on the main coastal road opposite the beach and surrounded by offices, shops, restaurants and residential apartments. The main tourist area is 3km in one direction and the old town and port 1km in the opposite direction. There is a choice of bars and restaurants along the coastal road and main attractions such as the municipal gardens, art gallery and archaeological museum are all within a 500-metre easy walk along the tree-lined promenade.
