Simos Magic Beach Hotel Apartments

An appealing property for all markets who wish to be in a quiet location, with reasonable ease of access by foot to the resort's attractions. The grounds are generously sized for the amount of apartments, and offer chill-out areas among the olive grove and lawns that surround the welcoming pool, unless too many non-residents decide to visit. The internal areas, while functional, are, in parts, of dubious taste, slightly cluttered and with a mix of furnishings from the delightful to the drab. This area is livelier with constant dance music playing on the TVs. The classification of tourist class applied to this property is not fitting with the facilities on offer and is more apt to the sister property Simos Magic 1, located above a bar in the nightlife centre of Ayia Napa.

Exterior

A modern, attractive, pale yellow block with stone features. Sizeable balconies with metal railings all have sea views and the four apartments on the ground floor have terraces directly on to the pool. The ample car park, with access for non-residents, has pretty rockeries and is fronted by boards advertising the pool, bars and entertainment. It leads to the grand entrance for residents and bar entrance for non-residents.

Interior

The open-plan lobby, with reception, bar, dining area, four large TVs and indoor games, features seating areas with leather sofas that match the terracotta colour scheme, including the attractive floor tiles. There is a sea theme throughout, with a fish tank and gaudy wall features created from sea shells.

Grounds

Spacious grounds house an appealing pool with rock features and a bridge, an outside bar and dining area, five-a-side football pitch and open up to the rocky beach, which has a jetty for ease of swimming. A lawned area, dotted with palms trees, features an abundance of sunbeds and the adjacent olive grove has modern rattan garden furniture and hammocks between the trees.

Area Type: Located down a quiet side street, 200 metres from the main coastal road and midway between the harbour and Nissi Beach, which are both a 10-minute walk away in opposite directions. Situated on a rocky beach the property is adjacent to two holiday villages. The main road has numerous shops, bars, restaurants and has go-karts, mini golf and a sizeable funfair. For livelier nightlife, the square is a 20-minute walk away uphill.
