A country located in North Africa and officially, the Kingdom of Morocco, Morocco is bordered by Spanish Ceuta and Melilla to the tip of the North, Algeria to the East and Mauritania to the South. It is just across the Strait of Gibraltar from Gibraltar to its North, with the Atlantic Ocean to the West and Mediterranean Sea to the North East.

There are 16 regions that make up Morocco. The capital of Morocco is Rabat, with the former capital being Fez. The largest city though is Casablanca, which is its main port. The most visited cities other than Fez, Rabat and Casablanca are Agadir, Asni, Erfoud, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Marrakech, Meknes, Tangiers and Taroudiant.

Morocco is known for its scenic mountains, colourful and aromatic markets (souks), couscous, archaic mosques and crafts including carpets and leather works
